During the fire danger period, Tatyshev Island will be inspected by a drone

March 26 15:10

The Krasnoyarsk administration held an interdepartmental meeting of the emergency commission chaired by the first deputy head of the city, Alexander Matsak, dedicated to preparing for the fire season.

In 2025, 39 dry grass fires with a total area of 126 hectares were registered in the city. To reduce the risk of fires, patches of dry grass in open areas have been mowed since last fall. This work will continue in the spring after municipal contracts are awarded. At the meeting, it was decided to hold meetings with the leaders of suburban gardening partnerships, since many fires occur near summer cottages. In the near future, 20 patrol groups will be formed that will take over surveillance of the territory near SNT.

In addition, mineralized strips will be updated and re-laid in Krasnoyarsk and suburban areas. This work will be carried out as the soil thaws. As for urban forests, they will also be patrolled by mobile mechanized and foot groups, especially where there is a large flow of people, for example, at the eastern entrance to Stolby and on the Torgashinsky ridge.

The mayor's office noted that the meeting participants paid special attention to the territory of Tatyshev Island. Fire prevention measures were always carried out on the island in advance. Last fall, 658 hectares of dry grass were mowed, dead wood was removed, another 50 video cameras were integrated into the “Safe City” system, and their total number reached 278. In addition, the territory of the island is monitored using technical means, including UAVs.

The territories that have become part of greater Krasnoyarsk are also preparing for the fire season. Their leaders reported on the preventive work being carried out and the availability of forces and means necessary for effective fire-fighting activities.

Our new territories, together with the Department of Municipal Economy and Transport, need to determine whether there are any deficiencies or factors that prevent this work from being carried out in the Solontsovsky, Elitovsky and Mininsky village councils, as well as the village of Berezovka. Colleagues should be provided with any support if necessary.»said Alexander Matsak.

Let us remind you that the first landscape fire of this season occurred on March 14 near Minusinsk. Sparks from a fire in which a local resident burned garbage spread to dry grass.
