A case of bribery for government contracts for the restoration of cultural objects was opened in Krasnoyarsk (video)

Regarding the First Deputy Head of the Capital Construction Department Krasnoyarsk region, as well as the director of a construction company and his deputy, a criminal case was opened on bribery during the conclusion of government contracts for the restoration of cultural heritage sites of regional significance.

The crime was discovered by employees of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the day before they conducted searches of the defendants.

According to investigators, from December 2023 to April 2024, an official holding the position of deputy manager – chief engineer of UKS, received a bribe from the general director of a construction company through an intermediary in the form of payment for the repair of his car BMW for a total amount of more than 370 thousand rubles. According to the agreement, businessmen hoped for general patronage and an advantage in concluding government contracts.

“The illegal monetary reward was intended for facilitating the conclusion of government contracts between regional state government agency and construction company for the restoration of cultural heritage sites of regional significance, ensuring priority payment for the work performed by the company and coordination of calculations of the new estimated price“, – said the Investigative Committee.

On February 11, searches were carried out at the company’s office and at the place of residence of the defendants, during which money, electronic storage media and documents relevant to the investigation were seized.

Law enforcement officials are not releasing the names of the suspects.However, it is known that at that time the position of deputy head of UKS occupied by Sergei Vetrov. Regarding the official, already in custody on charges of another crime, initiated a criminal case under paragraph “c” of Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe on a large scale by an official through an intermediary).

The director of the construction company and his deputy were detained by police yesterday, and the Investigative Committee opened criminal cases against the defendants under paragraph “b” of Part 4 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving a bribe to an official through an intermediary, committed on a large scale) and paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery committed on a large scale). The issue of choosing a preventive measure for him will be decided in the near future. According to media reports, we are talking about the managers of the company SK Georg LLC.
