

The artist touchingly said that on this day “spring always began” for her.
“For 14 years I have not congratulated my Kostya, but I have remembered him. I have been living without him for 14 years – and yet I am with him every second. Love does not pass. Love does not leave the heart, but seems to grow deeper and deeper into the very being,” she wrote and showed an archival photo with her son.
Rogovtseva, 88, added that she had been ill during the “long, hard, dark” winter.
“I was sick all of January and February. First, it was just a virus. I seemed to pop up, play three performances. And again I came down with a high fever. It’s very unfortunate, because performances were postponed in five cities. I’m recovering little by little,” the actress shared details about her health.
Context
Rogovtseva was born on July 16, 1937. She is a People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the National Taras Shevchenko Award, Hero of Ukraine.
Rogovtseva was married to Ukrainian actor Konstantin Stepankov. In 2002 she was widowed. The marriage produced two children – son Konstantin (1962) and daughter Ekaterina (1971). The actress's son died in 2012 after a long illness. He is survived by his daughter Daria.
