In the north-west of Moscow, workers poured pepper on residents who came out to protect the local square from cutting down trees
A serious confrontation unfolded in the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki area. Residents of Tukhachevsky Street, General Karbyshev Boulevard, General Glagolev Boulevard are trying to stop vandalism in the local park: workers acting on the instructions of unknown persons have already managed to deal with hundreds of trees.
The workers do not give any explanation for their actions. Local residents have organized voluntary patrols to monitor the felling and drive away machinery – almost all work takes place at night and in the morning.
Workers with equipment arrived at the site tonight. Residents of nearby houses came out to prevent the continued cutting down of trees. The workers demanded that the locals disperse, and a fight broke out. One of the workers took up a power saw and began to intimidate people, another took out pepper spray and sprayed it on the crowd.
The police are not solving the problem, but residents are writing statements to the council and the city portal demanding that the logging be stopped.
