Novosibirsk deputies propose to erect a monument to Joseph Stalin in the region in honor of the 90th anniversary of the region, which will take place in 2027.
As Om1 Novosibirsk writes, such an initiative was made by a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Roman Yakovlev. He also demanded that monuments to Vladimir Lenin not be allowed to be covered with structures during festive and cultural events in the region.
Where exactly the monument to Stalin will appear is not specified.
Let us remember that in 2024, a monument to the leader appeared in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the village of Kureika. There Joseph Dzhugashvili (Stalin) served exile from 1914 to 1916.
According to statistics, six new sculptures of the Generalissimo have appeared in Russia in 2025. A year earlier – five, and in 2022 – only one.
