“In the Shostkinsky district, a railway worker on duty at the station, who was on her way to work, came under fire. Medical assistance was promptly provided. The “indestructibility car”, which was placed in the community to warm the residents, was also hit. People were in shelter. The railway building and the diesel locomotive were also damaged. […] In addition, the enemy struck a railway station in the Akhtyrsky district with drones. Technical premises and tracks were damaged,” he noted.
According to Kuleba, the railway's energy infrastructure was also under targeted fire.
He added that despite the attack, the railways resumed train services as soon as the security situation allowed.
“This is another act of terrorism against Ukrainian logistics. The enemy is trying to stop the movement of trains, the Ukrainian railway is strengthening security protocols and continues moving,” the minister concluded.
