Why is there a shortage of pellets?
Sellers indicate that one of the main reasons for the current shortages is the sharp increase in demand. In recent years, more and more people have decided to install pellet boilers, which has significantly increased the demand for this type of fuel.
Additionally, as traders emphasize, less pellets from Ukraine are currently sent to Poland, which further limits the availability of the raw material.
Weather conditions are also important. Heavy frosts make pellet production difficult. Many manufacturers had to stop operations due to a lack of sawdust, frozen wood and failure of packaging machines and saws, which break and quickly become dull.
