Grease deposits and burnt crumbs on the oven rack not only look unpleasant, but also emit an odor every time you turn it on. At the same time, cleaning it with a brush or stovetop cleaners takes a long time and is ineffective. However, there is a simple way that will return the luster to the grate in 10 minutes without chemicals or muscular effort. Experienced housewives have long been using it instead of aggressive cleaners.
How to do:
- Remove the rack from the oven and place it in the sink or bathtub.
- Sprinkle regular baking soda on top, completely covering the surface.
- Sprinkle soda with vinegar 9%, a reaction will begin with foam, which will gently eat away the fat.
- Leave for 10–15 minutes.
- Rinse with warm water and wipe with a sponge.
If persistent plaque remains, repeat the procedure, but without soaking: apply a paste of soda and water, rub with the soft side of the sponge and rinse.
The grate will be smooth, shiny and ready to use.
