The Minister of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Vladimir Chesovitin visited the Krasnoyarsk Factory of Navy Metal named after V.N. Gulidova checked how the federal project “Clean Air” is being implemented in production.

The head of the department conducted a tour of the production of Krastztztmet, where they showed the entire process of obtaining precious metals. The company has become one of the first enterprises of the city, where it has already been able to achieve indicators specified as part of the environmental project.

“As part of a comprehensive plan to reduce emissions in the city of Krasnoyarsk, we have already reached the emissions that were provided for by this plan. And one of the first is Krastztmet. We wanted to see how the enterprise reached this decrease and what technologies used to reach these indicators. 117 tons that the company was thrown out in 2024, of course, they have no significant impact on environmental processes on the right bank of Krasnoyarsk. The company does not stop at the achieved and continues to reduce emissions. The Ministry of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory calls on all enterprises operating in the city, to work by law, to show consciousness and reduce emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, ”said Vladimir Chesovitin.

A tour began with the center of operational production management. The head of the affinage production Artem Rategov told the guests that it is here that the entire process of metals is controlled – from raw materials to finished products.

Also, all data from the automatic system for monitoring industrial emissions flow to the center. The analysis is carried out every 6 minutes. The control points are located in a gas tunnel and a 120-meter pipe, they measure indicators of polluting emissions from affinable production sections. If the emissions increase, automation determines the source of pollution and transmits information to the center’s dispatchers. Over the past 10 years, there has not been recorded excess standards for permissible emissions of pollutants on the industrial site. The Krastztmeta emissions program were approved in 2023. The standard for the permitted emission of the company is 242 tons, but in reality the emissions are less – in 2024 there are only 117 tons, which is 25% less than the previous year.

The guests were also shown a section of the affinage of gold and silver. Here, gold -containing materials are cleaned to purity 99.99%. Previously, this process was accompanied by the release of a large amount of nitrogen dioxide, but the improved technology made it possible to reduce its amount by 5-7 times. The remaining gases pass 2 more purification steps. Since 2025, all operations on the site are automatically, which has significantly reduced environmental risks.

On the section of the finished product, the minister was shown how molten gold turns into a finished product – an ingot. Krastztmet produces ingots weighing from 11 to 13.3 kg. In 2024, the company produced 198 tons of gold.

“Krasnetmet is a compact chemical-metallurgical production, we are not an essential pollutant, the share of the company in the total emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere of Krasnoyarsk is less than 0.1%. But still this is an industrial enterprise, which is located within the city. Therefore, we pay great attention to the fact that it is less influenced by the environment. Back in the 90s, the company voluntarily installed an automatic emission control system and annually conducts dozens of environmental measures. We introduce innovations developed by our scientific and technological center. A powerful IT support allows us to prevent potential events using analytics, ”said Mikhail Diaghilev, General Director of the company.

Recall that Krasnoyarsk, among the four cities of the region (Norilsk, Minusinsk, Achinsk and Lesosibirsk) is a member of the federal project “Clean Air” of the national project “Environmental well -being”. Work to improve air quality is carried out in several areas: environmental modernization of large industrial giants; Translation of the private sector from coal generation to alternative heat supply sources; Replacing passenger transport with more environmentally friendly and work with enterprises of small and medium -sized businesses, the sources of which are low and emissions settled in the human breathing area.
