“Why did you decide to talk about this? Because it casts a shadow on the entire industry, because a huge number of artists, dancers, presenters go abroad to different concerts. For example, I can travel abroad as a father of many children, but again, I don’t use it there for the sake of relaxation,” he said.
The presenter called the scheme of illegally exporting men abroad under the guise of a musician daring.
“The scheme is stupid, and it casts a shadow on the entire workshop. I have zero understanding. I find it disgusting. Regarding Petya Cherny, it seems to me that if Petya made money from this, then this should be a jurisdictional matter,” he emphasized.
Anatoly Anatolich urged not to judge all artists based on the case of Cherny.
“I could understand Petya Cherny if one of his friends left there and did not return, and he would say: “We are gypsies there, I helped my brother, yes, it happened.” But these are just people he didn’t even know. That is, this is purely a story for money. I don’t know, this is very strange for me,” the presenter said.
Context
On February 2, Bihus.info journalists published the results of their investigation, stating that Cherny was likely involved in a scheme to illegally export men of military age from Ukraine.
From a response to a request to the Kyiv City Military Administration, journalists learned that during 2025, entrepreneur Sergei Matusov regularly contacted them with a request to help the artist Pyotr Cherny and his musicians travel to various charity events in Spain. The letters contained the names of different people – it was this fact that surprised the investigators. In addition, announcements of events were attached to the documents, which, according to journalists, looked fake. This increased suspicions. Cherny himself called the journalistic investigation custom-made. He stated that all the musicians who travel with him return to Ukraine with him.
