In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 27-year-old taxi driver from the village of Boguchany, who hit a child at a pedestrian crossing, will stand trial. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.
Everything happened in November 2025. According to the supervisory authority, in the evening a man in his father’s Nissan Sunny was driving along Lenin Street at a speed of 70-75 kilometers per hour. He noticed three children on an unlit zebra crossing and braked sharply. There was ice on the roads, so the car skidded and the driver’s attempts to avoid an accident were unsuccessful. A man hit an 11-year-old boy who was walking first.
“The child was thrown onto the hood. After driving about 30 meters, the boy fell on the road. The driver moved him to the side of the road – he was afraid that other cars would hit him. The boy had multiple injuries and needed urgent surgery,” the prosecutor’s office said.
The girls who were walking along the pedestrian crossing following the injured boy escaped with minor bruises.
The taxi driver was charged with violating traffic rules resulting in serious harm to health (Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The criminal case will be considered by the Boguchansky District Court. The Nissan Sunny driver admitted his guilt and transferred money for the boy’s treatment.
“It was dark, snow, ice – I didn’t take into account the conditions. He overtook other cars and didn’t slow down to control,” the man explained.
