A team of volunteers from the Krasnoyarsk branch of Sberbank took part in a cleanup event on the territory of the Trinity Necropolis.

More than 350 volunteers from different companies cleaned the cemetery, putting in order the graves of Great Patriotic War veterans, governors and architects.

For employees of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Sberbank, cleaning the territory of the necropolis is already a good tradition; colleagues have been coming together for a good deed for the fifth year now. Every year, the ranks of volunteers are replenished with new participants who contribute to caring for our heritage, Sberbank notes.

Trinity Cemetery is the oldest surviving necropolis in Krasnoyarsk. People who played a huge role in the development of the city and region are buried there. For several years now, on the eve of the International Day for the Preservation of Monuments, hundreds of Krasnoyarsk residents have been cleaning up the oldest surviving cemetery after the Siberian winter. The Trinity necropolis is one of the objects that will be put in order for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.

The event was organized by the Service for State Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects of the Krasnoyarsk Territory as part of the “Let's Preserve Heritage” campaign.

“Sber volunteers are actively involved in projects to preserve cultural heritage, help clean and beautify the city, take care of the environment, the older generation and animals. We initiate our own volunteer projects and support regional and partner activities, together we are preparing for the 400th anniversary of the city,” said Alexander Nuikin, manager of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Sberbank.
