T2, the Russian mobile operator, improved 4G coverage in the Shirinsky district of the Republic of Khakassia. The company's engineers conducted a refarding in the district center – the village of Shira – and installed additional equipment by Lake Bely and in the village of Tuyu near the Tuim failure. Thanks to modernization, the operator’s network began to work more stable even during peak loads.

T2 develops communication infrastructure taking into account the growth of tourist traffic. By the beginning of the season, the operator installed an additional telecom equipment at two key points-near Lake Belo and in the area of ​​Tuumsky failure. This made it possible to increase the capacity of the network. Now even more local residents and vacationers can simultaneously use mobile Internet at high speeds, share impressions in social networks, use the necessary online services.

At the base stations located in the village of Shira, the T2 engineers carried out a refarding – redistribution of frequencies to increase the capacity of the network. As a result, the speed of 4G Internet doubled. New speeds automatically became available to all T2 customers with LTE devices. Improvements are especially noticeable when working with severe content: subscribers can watch videos in higher quality and exchange gigabyte files faster.

“Shirinsky district is the pearl of Khakassia, which attracts more and more tourists every year. Our task is to provide guests and residents of the region with a quality connection anywhere in the lake region. The modernization of the network allowed us to prepare for the tourist season and create comfortable conditions for digital communication against the backdrop of unique natural beauties, ”said Anna Dmitrieva, director of the T2 branch in the republics of Khakassia and Tuva.

In the summer of 2024, the popular locations of the Shirinsky district visited more than 13 thousand customers of the operator from 55 regions of Russia. Traditionally, most of the vacationers were Krasnoyarsk – 76 % of the tourist flow. In second place is the Kuzbassians (7 %). The third – Tomskichi (6 %). Also, many guests came from the Irkutsk region, the Novosibirsk region, Moscow and St. Petersburg. During the summer, tourists spoke in the Shirinsky district of 5.4 million minutes, which is equivalent to a telephone conversation with a total duration of 10 years. Also, guests of the republic used 240 thousand gigabytes of mobile Internet: one subscriber of such a traffic would be enough for 1.2 million hours in social networks.
