The level of inhuman cruelty of a given civilization is always reflected in how it treats its weakest. The most vulnerable members of society are children and the sick elderly. Child abuse is one of the most heinous crimesof which humans are capable. Worst of all is sexual abuse, after which children and adolescents are often unable to regain balance throughout their lives.
The list of sins of Western liberal societies in this respect is embarrassingly long. These are the sins of the Catholic Church, the sins of the reforming teachers from the school in Odenwald, the sins of the leftist whitewashing of pedophilia, especially in the German Green circles until the 1980s – and now also Epstein's files, which shocked readers last weekend.
You don't have to be a parent to accept with disbelief how – thanks to a completely depraved psychopath – this could happen. hundreds, maybe even thousands of crimes. It is a task for experienced investigators and prosecutors to bring literally every one of these perpetrators, every one who destroyed, who broke children's souls, to court. No matter how rich, powerful or “deserving” they might be.
If this matter cannot be clarified, we will face a disaster
So far, rumors about such networks of ruined people and corrupters were considered to be conspiracy theories of bitter pessimists. If it now turns out that part of the world's financial and political elite has led a life of child abuse and sexual crimes against minors, every, even the smallest, detail must be clarified.

If this matter cannot be clarified, the consequences will go far beyond political damage. It would be a civilizational catastrophe, because it would then turn out that there are not only spaces outside the law for the richest and most powerful, but also complex systems and dependencies that make reliable information and consistent conduct of investigations impossible.
Only a human being is capable of such vile acts
In the United States, it is obvious that both political parties are surprisingly reserved in commenting on the Epstein files.Probably because the matter concerns both sides. The same goes for Hollywood. The same applies to pop culture. The same applies to European aristocratic families.

If – as Thomas Hobbes gloomily supposed – man is man's wolf, then perhaps this term is naive too. Such deeply depraved, psychopathic abuses are the domain only of man and his soul.
Neither God nor a superhero will help here
The Bible tells the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, cities that were destroyed by God with a rain of fire and brimstone because they symbolized sin, fornication and the lack of righteous people — not even 10 righteous people were found there.
