Press-Marathon Conference: The president who exceeded Zelenski's record, speaking almost 15 hours

Mohamed Muizzu, the President of the Republic of Maldives, held a press conference for almost 15 hours to mark the World Press Freedom Day, thus exceeding the record for the longest press conference.

The meeting with the press led by Muizzu, 46 years old, started on Saturday at 10.00 local time and lasted 14 hours and 54 minutes, interrupted by short breaks and prayers, according to a statement by his office, writes News.ro.
“The conference lasted until midnight, a new world record for a president, President Muizzu continually answering the journalists' questions”, The statement said.
In 2019, Volodimir Zelenski held a 14 -hour press conference, where he discussed with over 300 Ukrainian and foreign journalists and answered over 500 questions, writes Radio Romania Actualities.
The Government of the Republic of Maldives said the question and answers session was also meant to mark World Press Freedom Day, which took place on Saturday.
