In the Krasnoyarsk Flora and Fauna Park “Roev Ruchey” the hedgehog Potap predicted what spring would be like.
Today, February 2, is Hedgehog Day. It was on this day back in In ancient Rome and Greece, hedgehogs were woken up to predict spring by their behavior.
“In “Roevoy Ruchek” we decided to revive the ancient tradition! Our hedgehog Potap was asked to choose between two bowls with his favorite larvae: one under a sign with the sun (early spring), the other with a snowflake (long spring),” explained the press service of the park.

The bowls contained equal portions of the hedgehog’s favorite delicacy—zophobas beetle larvae. Potap confidently walked towards the bowl with the snowflake. His verdict is that spring will be late this year.
