Oana Gheorghiu, apolitical deputy prime minister, spoke about the experience of working in the public administration, saying that the most difficult aspect seemed to her to be the lack of digitization. “Things do not go at the same pace as you are used to when you come from the private sector”, says the deputy prime minister three months after taking over the portfolio in the Government.

Oana Gheorghiu was asked on Sunday, in a show on the Euronews television channel, what was the most difficult thing for her as a member of the Government, reports News.ro.

“I don't know if it was something that I found very difficult. From the perspective of a person who comes from outside the system, there are things that are more difficult for you to get used to. The fact that there is still no digitization, that a lot of things are done on paper, that we still walk around with papers, that was my first shock that I had and I hope that in the coming months we will succeed in digitizing the processes we go through inside the Government to the greatest extent possible. One part is, at the level of documents and Government meetings, but we still have a lot of work to do”, answered Oana Gheorghiu.

She admits that, in the public administration, “things do not go at the same pace as you are used to when you come from the private sector”, but they are not difficult.
