Ludovic Orban points to the PNL leaders in the “army of occupation”: “I would have nothing to look for in a key party of the PSD”

The president of Forza Dreptei, Ludovic Orban, announces his support for the PNL leader, Ilie Bolojan, and for all the liberals who oppose the “hostile takeover” of the party by the PSD, informs Agerpres.
He mentions that, together with his colleagues from Forţa Dreptei, he will contribute to the success of a PNL that is based on “valuable” leaders and has the ability to win the elections.
“I am with Ilie Bolojan and all liberals of character who oppose the hostile takeover of the National Liberal Party by the PSD through Nicusor Dan and his institutional extensions. The National Liberal Party has a choice between being and not being anymore. If it decides to become the right-wing pillar of democracy in Romania again and relies on valuable leaders like Ilie Bolojan, Ciprian Ciucu, Dan Motreanu, etc., who enjoy public support and who can offer a real chance to the party to once again have the ability to win the elections, it has a certain future and I will be happy to contribute with my liberal colleagues from Forţa Dreptei to the success of such an essential project for Romania”, writes the former prime minister, on Monday, on Facebook.
Orban specifies that, should the PNL choose “to commit political suicide”, he would have nothing to look for in a “keyboard party” of the PSD.
“If instead they choose to commit political suicide and hand over the party to the occupation army composed of individuals like Thuma, Predoiu, Bogdan, piloted by the PSD and the services, it is clear to me that I would have nothing to look for in a key party of the PSD. In this dramatic situation, I will have nothing else to do but to participate in any political construction based on liberal philosophy that would offer Romanians a democratic, reformist and moral alternative to the political disaster caused by the complicity between Nicusor Dan, PSD and the system”, writes Ludovic Orban.
The National Political Bureau of the PNL is meeting on Monday, at 17:00, after the liberal first vice-president Adrian Veştea was appointed prime minister by the president Nicusor Dan. According to the PNL statute, Adrian Veştea can be expelled from the party by the congress.
