Also on Thursday, a cross -border cyclist was organized, held on the territory of the Russian municipalities (Bulgaria) and Giurgiu (Romania). For the safe crossing of the bridge by the participants in the march, the road traffic was temporarily stopped in both directions, between 10:55 and 11:11.

The group of cyclists was accompanied, on the territory of Bulgaria, by a car crew of the Bulgarian National Police and by a vehicle of the organizer. Since the entrance to Romania, they have been taken over by a crew from IPJ Giurgiu – Road Service.

The Territorial Inspectorate of the Giurgiu Border Police recommends the drivers to inform in time about traffic conditions, to show patience and understanding, and – where possible – to consider the use of alternative routes to avoid agglomeration.
