The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” reported that Lenin's open party meeting was held at the Birobidzhan garment factory. The first secretary of the CPSU city committee, E.V. Gritsai, took part in the meeting. The first secretary of the regional committee of the CPSU, L. V. Shapiro, made a report at the meeting. In his speech, Shapiro analyzed the work of Birobidzhan garment workers; he noted that the number of products produced with the state Quality Mark is 30 percent of the total production volume.

The meeting participants spoke about the great labor and political enthusiasm with which Birobidzhan garment workers are moving towards the 110th anniversary of the birth of V.I. Lenin, about what reserves of production should be put into action. At the end of the meeting, the first secretary of the regional committee of the CPSU L. Shapiro presented Lenin's Certificates of Honor to a group of leading production workers who had completed the five-year plan ahead of schedule. At the conclusion of the meeting, all participants sang the party anthem “Internationale”.
The article by K. Efimov “Glorious Anniversary” tells that the team of the Birobidzhan regional association “Agricultural Equipment” turned fifty years old. The association's club brought together labor veterans, production leaders and numerous guests.
The manager of the association, I. E. Novikov, in his report at the ceremonial meeting, spoke about the history of the creation of the machine and tractor station, about the first machine operators, and about the enterprise’s contribution to the development of agriculture in the region. The speeches of the veterans of the enterprise were exciting. The second secretary of the Birobidzhan district committee of the CPSU F. I. Sachuk congratulated the team on the anniversary. and Deputy Head of the Agriculture Department of the Regional Executive Committee V.G. Donko.
A large group of labor veterans and production leaders were awarded diplomas, Certificates of Honor and valuable gifts. In a solemn atmosphere, a museum of labor glory was opened at the club.

Five national teams from the regions of the region and the city of Birobidzhan took part in regional competitions in shooting sports (12+). Participants competed in pistol and small-caliber rifle shooting.
The traditional sports competition (6+) for pre-conscription youth took place in Ekaterino-Nikolskoye. It became a kind of review of the readiness of young people to serve in the army.

The territorial compulsory health insurance fund of the Jewish Autonomous Region was created in accordance with the decision of the small council of the regional Council of People's Deputies dated March 26, 1993 No. 511. The fund is subordinate to the Birobidzhan city, Birobidzhan, Leninsky, Obluchensky, Oktyabrsky and Smidovichsky district branches of the fund.
The main activity of the territorial compulsory health insurance fund is the creation and implementation of a mechanism that ensures the constitutional right of citizens to receive affordable, free medical care of guaranteed volume and quality at the expense of public funds, the creation of a financial mechanism that allows assessing the effectiveness of the use of expended resources.
