“Null” counties in Romania. GDP MAP 2026: The capital occupies a quarter of the economy. 32 counties contribute less than 2% of the national GDP. And worse, there are “null” counties

Almost three-quarters of Romania's counties each have an individual contribution to the national gross domestic product of less than 2% of GDP in 2026. The capital occupies over a quarter of GDP, followed at a great distance by Cluj, with a contribution of only 5.3%. 10 counties do not even make 1%, Profit.ro analysis reveals.
