After almost four years, Russia's appetite for war has not waned, on the contrary; Russia's military spending is growing, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski emphasized on Thursday in Przemyśl (Podkarpackie Voivodeship). He added that he is personally seeking to deepen technological cooperation with Ukraine.

The head of Polish diplomacy came to Przemyśl as part of a tour of the Regional Centers for International Debate. At the beginning, he thanked the inhabitants of Podkarpacie for the help provided to Ukrainians in 2022, when they were fleeing from Russian aggression.
– Przemyśl is a place, a symbol. You have unintentionally found yourself at the center of international politics. This is where the aid comes from, strengthening the Ukrainian resistance and thus increasing Poland's security, Sikorski said to the city's residents.
He emphasized that “Poland's importance in the global hierarchy is growing, and the role of Podkarpacie is also growing.” – You are doing something for the entire country, but at the same time, for the first time since the end of the Cold War, we feel the breath of a global conflict so clearly on our backs – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He pointed out that “after almost four years, Russia's appetite for war has unfortunately not weakened, on the contrary.” – Russian military spending this year is estimated at 15.5 trillion rubles, or almost PLN 700 billion, an increase of 3.4%. compared to last year – Sikorski noted.
He expressed hope that no one needs to be convinced that a free Ukraine is Poland's raison d'état and it is better to have an independent Ukraine aspiring to European integration on the border than Putin's tanks. (PAP)
