Four doctors, including the manager of the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Iași, criminally prosecuted by DNA prosecutors for taking bribes

Prosecutors from the National Anticorruption Directorate – the Iași Territorial Service announced on Friday that they ordered the further criminal prosecution of four doctors, one of them being the manager of the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases “Prof.dr. George Im Georgescu” in Iași, one day after the prosecutors made 12 locations.
The doctor Grigore Tinică, manager of IBCV Iași, is suspected of committing the offense of bribery in a continuous form (27 material acts), Mihail Enache, a cardiovascular surgeon at IBCV Iași, is suspected of taking bribes in a continuous form (four material acts). Also, Gheorghe Nedelciuc, primary psychiatrist within the Institute of Psychiatry Socola Iași – taking bribes in continuous form (seven material acts), Igor Nedelciuc, interventionist cardiologist within IBCV – taking bribes in continuous form (three material acts), according to a DNA statement.
According to the prosecutors, between August 2020 – March 2025, the suspect Grigore Tinică, as a manager of IBCV, would have received more than 20 times, both directly and with the help of several intermediaries, amounts of money between 500 lei and 3,500 euros from patients or their belongings, in connection with the fulfillment of the service, respectively for the performance of the service, surgical and specialized consultations.
Also, between October 2024-February 2025, the suspect Mihail Enache, would have received, in an intermediary, from several patients, amounts of money between 700 lei and 2,000 lei, in connection with the fulfillment of the service duties, respectively for carrying out surgery and for the issuance of medical leave.
Between October 2024-March 2025, the suspect Gheorghe Nedelciuc, in the quality mentioned above, would have received from several patients, both directly and through an intermediary, amounts of money between 1,000 lei and 3,500 lei, in connection with the fulfillment of the service duties, respectively for the consultation, the internality and the report in the diagnosis. Serious to justify the issuance of certificates of classification in disability.
The doctor Igor Nedelciuc is suspected of DNA prosecutors that between February-April 2025 he would have received through an intermediary, from three patients, amounts of uncomfortable money to perform some surgery.
“The four suspects were informed the procedural qualities and the accusations, in accordance with the provisions of art. 307 Criminal Procedure Code. In this case, criminal prosecution documents are carried out and against other persons,” the DNA press release is mentioned.
Prosecutors benefit from supporters from the General Anticorruption Directorate, the Iași Special Operations Brigade, the Bacău Special Operations Brigade, the Iași County Gendarmes Inspectorate and the Bacău Mobile Gendarmes group.
