Talented students of the Krasnoyarsk Territory received personalized scholarships

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Alexey Dodatko and regional governor Mikhail Kotyukov presented certificates of awarding regional scholarships to talented students. The ceremony took place on Russian Student Day at the Rossiya National Center.
Regional scholarships in the Krasnoyarsk Territory were introduced in 2026 to encourage gifted youth. Each scholarship bears the name of a distinguished person whose life and professional activities are connected with the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Among them: academicians Leonid Kirensky, Mikhail Reshetnev and Ivan Terskov, the first governor of the Yenisei province Alexander Stepanov, the Gadalov dynasty, artist Vasily Surikov, writer Viktor Astafiev, architect Leonid Chernyshev, senator Vyacheslav Novikov, historian Vasily Uvachan, journalist Lyudmila Batynskaya, two-time Olympic champion Ivan Yarygin, choreographer Mikhail Godenko, opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky, zoologist Elena Krutovskaya, surgeon V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky (Archbishop Luka).
Full-time students who win olympiads, competitions and competitions, and participate in conferences can receive a scholarship. It is also important that the applicant has his own discoveries, inventions, patents, and publications in scientific journals.
In 2025, 151 applications were submitted for scholarships, and the commission selected 45 laureates.
“It is a special honor, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, responsibility – to be the laureate of a regional scholarship. In fact, each of you will increase the glory of Krasnoyarsk – scientific, educational, sports, creative, in each of the areas. And I would really like that in a certain number of years your names will be among the personal scholarships that will mark the successes of Krasnoyarsk residents living here in decades to come on the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Therefore, I congratulate you on this result and congratulate everyone on Russian Student Day!”, congratulated the regional governor Mikhail Kotyukov.
Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Alexey Dodatko noted that regional scholarships are not only a measure of support for gifted children.
“When this idea was conceived, we were also talking about perpetuating the memory of our great fellow countrymen, who made a huge contribution to the development of science, culture, sports and other areas. It was important to preserve the memory, to make it alive. Becoming a laureate of a scholarship that bears the name of Surikov, Hvorostovsky, Reshetnev, Kirensky and our other famous fellow countrymen is a great responsibility. This is a very high bar that you need to maintain while maintaining continuity,” Alexey Dodatko addressed the event participants.
Before the official part, a meeting was held with youth activists, scholarship recipients and their loved ones. The head of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov, and the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Alexey Dodatko, shared memories of their student years and answered the children’s questions. How to choose a promising specialty, what everyone expects from the IT sector today, how to retain personnel in the region – some topics have become controversial. Alexey Dodatko noted that youth policy in the region is an interactive sphere where all decisions are made jointly.
The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Committee on Education and Culture, Vera Oskina, and the Chairman of the Committee on Sports, Youth Policy, Tourism and Development of the Social Environment, Alexander Novikov.
