On Thursday, April 2, the 7 matches of the 27th stage of the Men's National Basketball League took place, the second round scheduled within 5 days. The intense pace at which it has been played in recent weeks has made possible both some surprising results and some huge differences.

Just 4 days after the matches of the 26th round, the National League teams returned to the field and offered a very spectacular stage, after which the dates and predictions related to the final standings changed slightly.

CSM Oradea, surprising defeat on the field of CSU Sibiu

CSM CSU Oradea, Romania's vice-champion, suffered a surprising defeat on the field of CSU Sibiu, score 76-77. The yellow-blues were coming after an unexpected failure in front of CSM Târgu Jiu, but they were extremely ambitious in front of the Bihoren and achieved a valuable success.

Cristian Achim's students made a lot of mistakes, played modestly, while the opponents, led by veteran Monyea Pratt and MJ Randolph, gave the Siberian fans an unforgettable evening.

CS Dinamo București prevailed against CSM Târgu Jiu, score 99-71, and achieved its 12th consecutive victory in the championship, while Rapid Bucharest continued its positive streak and won a complicated duel with FC Argeș Basketball: 82-77.

Former Pitesti center Nikola Jevtovic had an impressive performance against his former team, finishing the game with 26 points, 9 rebounds and +27 efficiency.

Goran Martinic, the veteran of CSM Târgu Mureș, was the MVP of the round

The MVP of the stage was, however, another veteran. It's about Goran Martinic, the defender of CSM Târgu Mureș, who, at 38 years old, collected 28 points, 4 rebounds, 4 decisive assists and 30 efficiency units.

Transylvania, without the two pivots, dominated the dispute with CS Vâlcea 1924 and won 102-84. An even bigger difference was in the confrontation between SCM Timișoara and CSO Voluntari: 89-55.

Although they represent Romania in the European Cups, being qualified in the quarter-finals of the European North Basketball League, the Ilfovans had an evolution below expectations in the west of the country, losing by 34 points to Timișoara.

Perhaps the most interesting game of the evening was the one between SCM U Craiova and CSM Corona Brașov, which needed an extra time. The Oltenians managed to miraculously recover the difference at the end of regulation time, but the yellow-blues did not waste another chance and won 104-94.

The performance is worth noting to the young David Lăpuște (21 years old)who collected 17 points, 10 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals, with +25 efficiency. The former Cluj junior set new personal records for assists and efficiency.
