Over the past 24 hours, 18 fires occurred in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The most serious incident occurred in Dudinka, where firefighters evacuated 19 people from a smoke-filled entrance, six of them were children.
According to the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the region, the fire occurred in the utility room of an apartment building. When crews arrived, there was heavy smoke. Firefighters evacuated residents along flights of stairs. A total of 19 people were rescued, including six children. None of them were hurt. The fire was contained to an area of 12 square meters. The cause was an electrical short circuit.
A large fire was also recorded in the Kurganinsky district. In the village of Novopokrovka, a garage covering an area of 900 square meters completely burned out. Volunteer firefighters and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in extinguishing it. No people or equipment were harmed. The supposed cause is a violation of the rules for operating the furnace.
