Since the morning, authorities reported falling debris and fires in different places in Kyiv. In the Darnytskyi district, a fire occurred on the territory of private houses, and there was a threat of the fire spreading to a nursing home located nearby. People were evacuated from there, the mayor indicated. In the Dnieper region, three high-rise buildings were damaged by debris.
Klitschko says that a significant part of Kyiv was left without heat.
“The city is experiencing interruptions in heat and energy supply. Thus, more than 2.6 thousand residential buildings, 187 kindergartens, 138 schools, 22 social institutions are currently without centralized heat supply. Energy and utility workers are working,” he wrote.
The temperature in Kyiv is now +1 °C.
