The highest paid soccer player in the world is the daughter of the famous Dennis Rodman. $2 million per year contract
American striker Trinity Rodman, 23 years old, made history after signing a three-year contract with the Washington Spirit, thus becoming the highest-paid female soccer player in the world, the BBC reports.

Until now, this feat was held by Aitana Bonmatí, the Barcelona midfielder and winner of the Ballon d'Or in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Trinity, the daughter of former basketball player Dennis Rodman, was released from her contract at the end of last year, and her new deal, estimated at around $2 million annually, with bonuses included, will ensure her presence on the team until 2028. In her personal life, Rodman has a long-term relationship with tennis player Ben Shelton, currently ranked 7th in the ATP rankings.

Trinity Rodman made an immediate impact for the Washington Spirit, helping them win the NWSL championship in her debut season in 2021, a performance for which she was named the league's Rookie of the Year.
Internationally, Rodman has so far amassed 47 caps for the United States national team, scoring 11 goals since her debut in 2022. Additionally, she scored three goals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where the USA captured the gold medal.
