“The measures regarding Increase of the VAT rate from 19% to 21% provided in art. II point 42 of Law no. 141/2025 regarding some fiscal-budgetary measures have the effect of a series of rates for both products and for services that are necessary to carry out the railway transport activity, which will generate significant increases in operating expenses. The modification of the tariffs is necessary in order not to reduce the volume of current activity, given the need to maintain the railway transport service at national level and the importance of ensuring the transport of persons from all social categories, without affecting the need for transport and their degree of mobility ”is shown in the report of approval of a project of order published by the MTI, according to Agerpres.

Thus, the unique tariff for a trip on the distance Bucharest North -Airport Henri Coandă will remain 6 lei, the unique tariff for a five -day subscription will be 43.5 lei, for a 14 -day subscription – 90.5 lei, and for a monthly subscription – 128.5 lei.

According to the quoted publication, for a trip by Intercity trains, depending on the distance traveled, the rates start from 18 lei (class I) or 12.5 lei (second class), for up to 10 kilometers.

For distances between 161 and 180 km, the proposed prices are 106.5 lei (class I) and 71.5 lei (second class), between 351 km and 400 km-187.5 lei (class I) and 121 lei (second class) and between 901 and 1000 km-309 lei (class I) and 212.5 (second class).

The rates for an Interregio trains trip start from 14.50 lei (class I) and 11 lei (second class) for distances between 1 and 10 km, and reach 92.50 lei (class I) and 62.50 lei (second class), for distances between 161 and 180 km, 163 lei (class I) and 105 lei (1st grade) between 35 km) and 185 lei (second class) for distances between 901 and 1000 km.

For a trip by trains in the Regio category, examples of tariffs are: 6 lei (class I) and 5 lei (second class) for distances of 1-10 km, 52.5 lei (class I) and 33.5 lei (second class) for distances between 161 and 180 km and 101.5 lei (class I) and 64 lei (second class) between 351 km.

A 3 -hour subscription for the Bucharest metropolitan area will cost 12.5 lei, for 24 hours – 22.5 lei (22 lei previous), for 72 hours – 64 lei (from 63 lei).

The 7 -day subscription will reach 133 lei (compared to 131 lei). The place for reservation will remain at 6 lei for Intercity trains, regardless of the class, and also 6 lei will be for Interregio trains, where until now 6 lei was the maximum tariff for over 500 km. In terms of sleeping wagons, the supplement for the single cab (235.5 lei will cost.

The supplement for the bed in a two-seater cab will be prized with 127.5 lei (from 125.5 lei), and in the cabin with three places will be 106.5 lei (from 104.5 lei).

Also, at the Cușeta wagons, the rate for a bed in a cabin with four places will increase to 83 lei (from 81.5 lei), and in a cab with six places it will reach 61.5 lei (compared to 60.5 lei).
