In Penza, after a drone attack, oil and, possibly, a thermal power plant are burning. Photo, video


At the beginning, he claimed that a local oil depot had caught fire. He later wrote on Telegram that the oil storage tanks caught fire due to the debris of supposedly downed Ukrainian UAVs. The distance from Ukraine to Penza in a straight line is about 1 thousand km.

The official indicated that no one was killed or injured.



The Ukrainian OSINT project Exilenova+ indicates the likely target of the drones is the oil depot of Penzanefteprodukt JSC, owned by Rosneft. Journalists geolocated the object and also published a video from the scene of the attack.



The Supernova+ Telegram channel notes that the drones, judging by the reaction of local residents, could also hit the Biosintez chemical plant in Penza. The channel also admits that the local thermal power plant could have been damaged.
