Incident with Konrad Berkowicz at IKEA. The network speaks out. There is a statement

Mariusz Gierszewski, a journalist from Radio ZET, was the first to report that Konrad Berkowicz tried to take goods worth nearly PLN 400 from the IKEA store. The New Hope MP was detained by security behind the cash registers.
“I was doing a lot of shopping at IKEA today in a big hurry, listening to something on headphones. I deleted everything, but it turned out that not everything was loaded. Simple inattention. Frying pan and plates. A stupid mistake for which I apologized and accepted a fine. I didn't use immunity like Mejza or Sterczewski. PS. Guess what I was listening to…” Berkowicz explained in an entry on the X website.

He adds that shopping at self-service checkouts at IKEA is similar to that in other stores. Customers scan products themselves, and the shopping list is constantly updated on the screen. Additionally, at the end, a message appears asking if all items have been deleted. You can still check the entire list before making the payment. In case of any doubts, customers can always ask the staff for help. “The employee is always available at the checkout line,” Stypa sums up.
