Atalanta he introduced his new coach, Raffaele Palladino (41), just one day later after the dismissal of Ivan Juric (50 years)the one who took over the technical bench of the Bergamo team this summer.
The conflict with the star of the team Ademola Lookman (28 years old), whom Juric interrupted after the victory with Marseille in the Champions League (score 1-0), but also the series of 7 consecutive matches without victory in Serie A, were fatal for the Croatian technician.

“Atalanta are pleased to announce the appointment of Raffaele Palladino as head coach of the senior team.
Having started his coaching career with Monza's Under 15 and Primavera teams, the 41-year-old technician has amassed 126 games as head coach to date – 73 on the Monza bench and 53 at Fiorentina – leading the Viola to sixth place in the previous edition of Serie A with 65 points and reaching the semi-finals of the 2024/25 UEFA Conference League. Raffaele Palladino has signed a contract with Atalanta valid until June 30, 2027″, reads the official press release from Atalanta.
After finishing the previous Serie A season in 3rd place under Gian Pierro Gasperini, Atalanta are now only 13th in Serie A, with 13 points from the first 11 matches, and just two wins.
Last season's 0-3 defeat at home to newly-promoted Sassuolo proved fatal for Ivan Juric, who had not won a league game since 3-0 away to Torino on 21 September.
Meanwhile, Atalanta recorded 5 consecutive draws, 1-1 with Juventus, 1-1 with Como, 0-0 with Lazio, 1-1 with Cremonese and 1-1 with AC Milan. Before the failure with Sassuolo, there was also the away defeat with Udinese, score 0-1.
