power engineers spoke about the operating mode of SGC enterprises during the NMU period in Krasnoyarsk / Society news of Krasnoyarsk and the Krasnoyarsk Territory / Newslab.Ru

On the territory of Krasnoyarsk from January 16 to 20, a regime of adverse weather conditions (AMC) of the first degree of danger is in effect.
During this period, all industrial enterprises in the region are required to reduce the burden on the environment. The Siberian Generating Company faces a special task – to carry out these measures and provide residents with heat in full, the press service of the SGC noted.
Activities are being implemented in accordance with plans approved by the Ministry of Environment. During this period, power engineers pay special attention to the operation of gas cleaning equipment and the combustion mode of boilers. In addition, enterprises are optimizing internal processes. During the NMU period, tests of boilers and ash and slag removal systems are not carried out, welding, repair and other technological work is limited.
It is important to emphasize that in order to provide residents with a quality resource, especially during periods of abnormally low temperatures, SGC enterprises operate in specified modes. Their load is determined by the temperature schedule and dispatch tasks of the System Operator of the Unified Energy System for electricity generation. This approach ensures that consumers receive heat in the required quantities.
Let us remind you that SGC is one of the main participants in the federal project “Clean Air” of the national project “Ecological Well-Being”. As part of the approved measures, the Company systematically fulfills its obligations to reduce the burden on the environment. Thus, since 2018, Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 has been implementing a large-scale environmental program.
A new chimney with a height of 275 meters has already been built at the station, 13 of 15 modern electric precipitators have been installed, capturing more than 99% of dust, two more will be put into operation this year. Two new boiler units are already in operation, and two turbines are being installed. CHPP-1 provides heat and hot water to a third of the residents of the city of Krasnoyarsk. Therefore, despite the scale of the events, the station did not stop its work for a day. The environmental reconstruction of the station will be completed in 2026. As a result, particulate matter (dust) emissions will be reduced by 80% and overall emissions will be reduced by 20%.

A landmark project was implemented at Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3. The second power unit was launched there. Together with it, a highly efficient electric precipitator, the city’s first cooling tower to reduce water intake from the Yenisei, and a dry ash and slag removal system began work.
The start of the environmental modernization program was given at the Nazarovo State District Power Plant. The company plans to invest 3.3 billion rubles in the project. A program has already been approved, which will be implemented in stages until 2032 without stopping production. It provides for the replacement of gas cleaning equipment, which will reduce emissions of suspended particles by 47.2%.
SGC's environmental responsibility is not limited to the industrial sites of its main production facilities. In parallel, the company is developing other projects. In the regional capital, 37 non-environmentally friendly boiler houses were replaced, and their consumers were switched to the power of thermal power plants. The “New Heat” project is being developed to transfer the private sector to more environmentally friendly types of heating. Already 640 households have switched to modern and clean electric heating, which has reduced emissions into the atmosphere by 2 thousand tons per year.
