The court sentenced a resident of Yeniseisk for torturing his partner

In Yeniseisk, a local resident was convicted of torturing his cohabitant. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The couple have lived together since February 2023. The woman, the mother of two young children, was financially dependent on her partner. In the summer of 2025, a 30-year-old man brutally tortured her repeatedly. In June, he beat a woman on the street for an insignificant reason, in August he used force at home in the kitchen. In September, he tortured a woman all night, punching and kicking her, biting her lip, and threatening her with a knife.
After this, the victim contacted law enforcement agencies. According to the woman, She couldn’t contact her earlier because the man constantly took her phone away. And she was afraid to scream and ask for help, because she understood that it would only get worse for her.
“The court, having studied the case materials, came to the conclusion that reforming the aggressor without isolation from society is impossible and sentenced him for torture (Part 1 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and threat of murder (Part 1 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) to 1 year and 3 months of imprisonment in a maximum security colony,” the prosecutor’s office said.
The supervisory agency also clarified that previously a man already had convictions for drugs and theft, and in October 2024ode was fined for beatings (Article 6.1.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).
