

According to the press service, the leaders discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Russia, as well as “regional and global issues.”
Erdogan informed Putin that Türkiye was working to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and send humanitarian aid to the region. Also mentioned Ukraine.
“Our President said that diplomatic initiatives must gain momentum to ensure that the Ukraine-Russia war ends with a just and lasting peace, and that Türkiye will continue to work toward peace,” the release said.
It was also noted that during the conversation, Erdogan congratulated Putin on his birthday.
