Trump accuses Norway of not having the Nobel Prize. “Remember that I ended 8 wars myself”

US President Donald Trump said he doubted NATO would defend the United States, but assured that the US would always support NATO allies. He also added that if it weren't for him, Russia would have already conquered all of Ukraine.

Trump expressed his opinion about the North Atlantic Alliance in a post on the Truth Social platform. He said that most member states “didn't pay their bills” until he intervened and “respectfully got them to (spend) 5% of GDP” on defense.

He also added that without his involvement, Russia “would now have ALL OF UKRAINE. Also remember that I myself ended eight wars, and Norway, a NATO member, naively decided not to award me the Nobel Peace Prize..

“RUSSIA AND CHINA HAVE ZERO FEAR OF NATO WITHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND I DOUBT THAT NATO WOULD HELP US IF WE REALLY NEEDED IT” – Trump announced. But he added that the US “will always support NATO, even if they don't support us (the US).”

“The only country that China and Russia fear and respect is the USA REBUILT BY DJT,” he repeated.

Trump posted his tweet after Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen suggested on Tuesday that the U.S. takeover of Greenland would mean the end of NATO.

The US president has repeatedly expressed doubt that America's allies would defend it. Nevertheless, the only case of NATO applying Article 5 on mutual defense occurred in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, when, together with the United States, troops from a number of NATO countries, including Poland and Denmark, entered Afghanistan.
