Needed sellers, mechanics and nurses
The list of the most sought after professions abroad shows that The market mainly needs employees with practical skills.
The most job offers apply to:
- sellers (106 thousand)
- mechanics (80,000)
- nurses (80,000)
- electricians (64 thousand)
- truck drivers (53 thousand)
However, welders, chefs, carpets, plumbers and carers of the elderly are also very much needed.
Importantly, over 70 percent companies do not require a specific education, and 12 percent employers do not expect any professional experience. This is good news especially for young, students and people changing the industry.
How much can you earn abroad?
Poles who decide to work outside their homeland can count on salaries much higher than in the country. According to Personnel Service, you can earn the most monthly:
- In welding in Scandinavia – 4.2 thousand euro net
- in construction in Norway and Sweden – 3.8 thousand euro net
- In the care industry in Sweden – up to 3,000 euro net
- In gastronomy in Germany – up to 2.3 thousand euro gross
- cleaning industry in Germany – about 3.1 thousand euro
– though Scandinavia definitely dominates in terms of remuneration and high quality working conditionswe also observe growing interest in such directions as Austria, Belgium or Spain – says Krzysztof Inglot, labor market expert, founder of Personnel Service. – Many people consider them as an alternative, not only because of earnings, but also because of the climate, lifestyle or access to specific offers in niche competitions. There is also more and more awareness among employees. It is not only about the amount of salary, but about stability, social benefits and development opportunities.
– Some employers guarantee, for example, that the employee will be able to freely decide to go home during the employment period, which allows you to reduce the nuisance associated with separation from loved ones, but also, for example, buy grocery products from stores in Poland – says Bankier.pl Mateusz Jewish from Randstad.
There are not many offers in the labor offices
Employment offers can be found on both online advertising portals and in temporary job agencies. Also in the labor offices there are job proposals outside the country. However, there are much fewer here.
– Currently, we have several job offers, with a workplace in various locations in Europe – says Bankier.pl Urszula Murawska, head of the department
Communication and Analysis Department of the Labor Office of the Capital City of Warsaw. – These are offers submitted by a temporary employment agency, which is looking for candidates for positions: quality assurance specialist, testing and acceptance techniques, tests and startups, electricians, mechanics, fitters, including industrial scaffolding, industrial insulation, hulls, pipelines on a ship, interiors on ships and ventilation. In the proposed offers, the salary is given in the hourly system and depending on the position – it ranges between 57 and 110 PLN gross per hour.
According to Urszula Murawska, the number of job offers abroad, over the years, has remained at a similar level, which can be determined as low in relation to the total offers available at the office.
Helpful international cooperation
However, it is also possible to submit a job offer via the EURES network, regarding the European Economic Area, which includes European Union countries and Norway, Iceland and Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
– Here cooperation involves a double -sided exchange of job offers between European countries – explains Urszula Murawska. – An employer from a given country reports his offer to the Labor Office in his country, and then thanks to the EURES network mechanisms, this advertisement is also distributed abroad. The goal of such action is to reach potential employees in other countries and encourage them to take up employment with a given employer. Similarly, entrepreneurs from other Member States submit their offers at local labor offices, and these go to international circulation, which allows them to reach candidates outside their own country. Thanks to such an exchange, employers can effectively acquire employees from abroad, and jobseekers have access to a large number of offers from all over Europe. The proposed positions are various, also very specialized, with very different requirements and proposed earnings. Everyone looking for work abroad has access to the Epraca platform. There are currently over 120 proposals containing about 670 jobs.
Not only an ad hoc solution
Considering that over 1.5 million Poles are temporarily staying abroad, and this number is constantly growing, there are many indications that working abroad ceases to be only an ad hoc solution.
– This is increasingly a conscious decision on better quality of life, greater stability and professional development – sums up Krzysztof Inglot.
