For such people, the MoneyLion ranking was created, which shows where in 2026 we will pay the most per day of stay.

High costs may limit the availability of some destinations and change travel trends. However, for some travelers, they come down to the second – or even next – plan and what counts is the experience or fulfillment of dreams.
The latest MoneyLion ranking, quoted by the “Business Day” website, shows where it is the most expensive in the world. The list is dominated by island paradises and rich Western countries, where the prices of everyday expenses can surprise even experienced tourists.

Iceland was at the top of the ranking, where the average daily cost was as much as $400. (approx. PLN 1,400). The Maldives ($379) and Barbados ($335) are also heavy on the wallet – the daily cost here is $379 and $379 respectively. (over PLN 1,300) and USD 335. (approximately PLN 1,200). These costs are increased mainly by luxury complexes and high import costs.

Some may be surprised by the fact that the United States was high in the ranking, where the daily cost in the largest cities can be up to $325. A trip to places such as Antigua and Barbuda is at a similar level of cost – $323. (over PLN 1,100) and Saint Kitts and Nevis – USD 271. (about PLN 1,000), which focus on exclusive tourism.

The last places in the top 10 most expensive countries in the world also included: Grenada – $258. (over PLN 900), Switzerland – USD 250. (over PLN 900), Greenland – USD 222. (over PLN 800) and United Arab Emirates – USD 220. (over PLN 800).
Traveling to these countries requires more budgeting and planning. High prices may discourage spontaneous trips and encourage people to look for cheaper alternatives. At the same time, luxury destinations attract those who are looking for unique experiences and are willing to pay for them.
