In Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, the owner of the fur studio “Shine of Taimyr” returned more than 304,000 rubles to her client for a lost mink coat.

As Rospotrebnadzor said, in February 2023 the victim handed over the product for restoration. The master said that alteration is possible only if the leather is thinned and three new skins are purchased, which must be ordered from abroad. As agreed, the woman paid 31,000 rubles – an advance for the upcoming work and money for the purchase of skins.

“In the summer, the skins were delivered to Norilsk, and the fitting was scheduled for December, but it did not take place. For a long period, the customer tried to contact the master to pick up the fur coat, but to no avail. Later it turned out that the studio was closed altogether. Then the woman “she turned to the Rospotrebnadzor Office for help, specialists prepared a claim and represented her interests,” the department said.

As a result, the court recovered from the individual entrepreneur O. V. Lebedeva in favor of the consumer twice the cost of the lost fur coat – 235,586 rubles, damages in the form of payment for additional services – 31,000 rubles, moral damages – 5,000 rubles, a fine – 20,000 rubles and legal expenses – 12,500 rubles
