The MTS digital ecosystem announces the launch of a new base station in the Khakassian village of Priiskovoe. Thanks to the installation of new telecom equipment in the area, 4G coverage has increased and network capacity has increased.

MTS specialists launched equipment for high-speed data transmission in the LTE 1800 standard in a Khakassian village. Priiskovoe is one of the most popular places in Siberia for freeride – snowboarding or alpine skiing in natural terrain, off prepared trails. During the snowy season, freeriders from all over the country come here, including from the neighboring Krasnoyarsk Territory, Kemerovo and Tomsk regions.

“We had been planning the installation of new telecom equipment in Priiskovoe for a long time, so that during the ski season tourists would have the opportunity to relax and use communications and mobile Internet. The ski season starts in October-November, and lovers of extreme recreation will begin to flock to the village. The 4G network covers hotels and shops, residential areas, first aid stations, schools, administration and rural cultural centers,” said Pavel Fomin, director of MTS in the Republic of Khakassia.

Priiskovoe is the northernmost settlement of Khakassia, located on the border with the Kemerovo region. The village, which arose in connection with the discovery of gold deposits here in 1834, is now known as a popular tourist attraction. The settlement is surrounded by two massifs with a scattering of hills of different heights – climbing the slopes for skiing is done by a snowcat, that is, a snowcat with a cabin for passengers.
