Iran's exiled prince Reza Pahlavi told the protesters what to do. “President Trump is ready to help you”

The son of Iran's last shah, Prince Reza Pahlavi, told Iranians that he supports them in their protest against the regime and that the whole world appreciates the “national revolution”, urging them to continue the demonstrations that began two years ago weeks.

“Know that you are not alone. Your countrymen around the world are proudly supporting you, as you may have seen from the images broadcast on television, which show their large and widespread presence. Today, the whole world supports your national revolution and admires your courage. President Trump in particular, as the leader of the free world, has taken note of your indescribable courage and announced that he is ready to help you. Do not leave the streets. My heart goes out to you. I know I will be with you soon,” Pahlavi wrote in a message on X, where he also published a video clip.

Pahlavi is due to attend an event in Mar-a-Lago, Florida on Tuesday, but his team stressed that he has not yet been granted a meeting with Trump and that the event is unrelated to the US leader's team, according to The Guardian.

The exiled son of Iran's deposed monarch, who lives in the US, says the presence of protesters on the streets has “severely weakened the repressive regime” of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The directions given to the protesters

Pahlavi claims to have information that the Islamic Republic is “facing an acute shortage of mercenaries” to deal with the millions of Iranians taking to the streets. It also states that several members of the security forces ignored orders to quell the protests.

Pahlavi also made a new appeal to Iranians and called people to the streets again on Sunday from 18:00 local time.

“I ask everyone to walk the main streets of the cities in groups, with friends and family members. Along the way, do not separate from each other and do not move away from the crowd. And do not walk on side streets that could put your life in danger,” he advised them.

Dozens dead in Iran. “Heaped Bodies”

Protests in Iran continued for a 14th night, with Iranian security forces using lethal force against protesters across the country.

Images from Tehran and Kahrizak showed dozens of bodies in body bags, and witnesses told CNN they saw “bodies piled up” in hospitals.

The violence comes as the regime has almost completely cut off internet access, according to Iranian media.

The protests that erupted on December 28, 2025, in response to skyrocketing inflation, spread to more than 100 cities, becoming the biggest challenge to the regime in Tehran in recent years.

On Saturday evening, security forces turned on the demonstrators, with initial reports indicating mass casualties, Iran International reports.

Trump is considering an attack on Iran

Israel is on high alert in the event of possible US intervention to support Iran's nationwide protest movement, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

US President Donald Trump has been briefed in recent days on new options for a military strike against Iran, according to The New York Times.

Iran warned President Donald Trump on Sunday that any US attack would lead to Tehran retaliating against Israel and US regional military bases, which are considered “legitimate targets”, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf told parliament.

“In the event of a US military attack, both Israel and US military and naval centers will be our legitimate targets,” Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said.

“In legitimate defense, we do not consider ourselves limited to reacting after an action, and we tell Trump and his allies in the region not to make a mistake,” added Ghalibaf, who called Trump “delusional,” according to Iran International.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to intervene in recent days and warned Iran's leaders against using force against the protesters. On Saturday, Trump said the US was “ready to help”.
