Rapid received bad news in the first half of the match against UTA Arad, score 1-1 at halftime. Lars Kramer, the Giulești central defender, could no longer continue the game due to medical problems and was replaced at halftime.

The Dutch defender blamed knee problems, which appeared after a clearance of the ball. In overtime of the first half, Kramer was caught jumping on one leg, a clear sign that he could no longer continue the game. After the intervention of the medical staff, it was decided that he should be replaced.

When the game resumed, he was replaced by Leo Bolgado, the Brazilian defender transferred from CFR Cluj.

“He had a problem with his knee, we will see in the coming days how serious it is,” Victor Angelescu told Digisport, right after the match.

Indisputable holder in Giulesti

Transferred last summer to Rapid, Lars Kramer has become a key man in the white-and-cherry defense. The match against UTA was the 23rd for the Dutchman in Rapid's jersey.

Lars Kramer is 25 years old, plays as a central defender and is 1.92 meters tall. Born in Zaandam, Holland, on July 11, 1999, he is a product of the Ajax Amsterdam academy.

During his career, he also worked for:

  • NEC Nijmegen

  • FC Groningen

  • Viborg FF

  • Aalborg BK

In Denmark, Kramer stood out with solid numbers for a center back. At Viborg FF he collected 88 matches and 7 goals, and at Aalborg BK he ticked 104 appearances and 9 successes. At international level, he also played for the Netherlands U20 national team, earning six caps.
