He noted that he forced NATO allies to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP, whereas previously they spent only 2%.
“The US, stupidly, paid for them! I got their contribution to reach 5%, and now they pay immediately. Everyone said it was impossible, but it is possible,” he said.
Trump also once again took credit for ending eight wars and accused Norway of “stupidly” not awarding him the Nobel Peace Prize.
“Without my participation, Russia would now own all of Ukraine,” Trump also wrote.
He said that Russia and China are not afraid of NATO without the United States, and expressed doubts that NATO would help the United States if necessary.
“Everyone is lucky that I rebuilt our military in my first term and continue to do so. We will always be there for NATO, even if they are not there for us. The only country that China and Russia fear and respect is the US restored by Donald Trump. Let's make America great again!” – added the US President.
