The Romanian technician is in a period of analyzing the next stage in his career and did not want to accept a proposal that did not offer him security in the long term.

The financial package was an impressive one, with the international press talking about 1.2 million euros for a commitment of about six months, and 2.5 million euros from the following season, if the Romanian had saved the team from relegation.

Even with these scores, the former Romanian coach chose to go in a different direction. For Iordănescu, money was not the main argument, but the lack of a stable and well-defined project.

It is about Al Najma, the team in last place in the Saudi Arabian championship.

Those close to the coach claim that he is looking for a team that will give him time, clear goals and the opportunity to build in a real way, in the medium and long term. A contract limited to a few months would not have allowed him to implement his own ideas and achieve performances that reflected his work.
