We are talking about a man and a girl aged approximately 20–25 years.
Rescue divers arrived at the scene of the incident and found the victims at a distance of approximately 100 m from the shore. With the help of a rubber boat and rescue equipment, both people were taken out of the water and handed over to doctors for further hospitalization.
The State Emergency Service explained that the only factors that saved the lives of the victims were daylight hours, the random presence of people and the quick response of rescuers.
“A few more minutes in cold water – and the count would no longer be for salvation, but for death. Fragile ice leaves no room for error – do not go out on the ice, this is a direct and mortal danger,” the State Emergency Service noted.
