The United States, in negotiations with Ukraine, wants to close disputes on two key points of the “peace plan.” Axios learned the details

The meeting of the Ukrainian and US delegations will take place at the Shell Bay Golf Club.

The Ukrainian side was headed by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov. It also included First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Sergei Kislitsa, Ambassador to the United States Olga Stefanishina, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrei Gnatov, and representatives of Ukrainian intelligence.

At the same time, the US delegation is represented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and the White House head's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

As Axios pointed out, at the first meeting of delegations in Geneva on November 23, the parties reached agreements in principle on all issues except two – Ukrainian territories and security guarantees for Kyiv.

A senior US official said the White House wants to close gaps on those last two issues. He added that “Ukrainians know what is expected of them.”

Negotiations between Ukraine and the United States on a “peace plan” will take place before the meeting of the American delegation with illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin next week in Moscow.

On November 27, Putin said that the Russian Federation is allegedly ready to cease fire in the war if the Ukrainian defense forces leave parts of Ukrainian territory that are not captured by the occupiers, which are claimed by Moscow. He threatened that “if they don’t leave,” then the Russian Federation will supposedly “achieve this by military means.” Putin added that Russia is “ready to fight until the last Ukrainian.”

Before his dismissal from the post of head of the OP, Andriy Ermak stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky would not sign a document renouncing the territory.

Context

Bloomberg wrote that the 28-point plan, which was agreed upon by the special envoy of US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, and the special representative of the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin on investment and economic cooperation, Kirill Dmitriev, was not accepted, because it had too many contradictory aspects.

After a response from Ukraine and European partners during negotiations in Geneva on November 23, the Russian-American document was changed, reducing it to 19 provisions. The White House released a statement after the negotiations that the amended draft peace agreement reflects Ukraine's national interests.

On November 25, Trump expressed the opinion that agreements to resolve the Russian war against Ukraine are very close.
