The operation was carried out by the elite Delta Force unit, known for carrying out the most demanding special missions of the American army, reports CBS television.
“Russia looks on with envy because it was a real special military operation.” – says Gen. Roman Polko, former commander of GROM, in an interview with PAP. He estimates that the actions of conventional forces diverted the enemy's attention from the real intentions, and extensive intelligence reconnaissance had been carried out earlier.

Gen. Polko points out that carrying out an effective operation of this type requires the presence of agents on site and perfect reconnaissance. He compares the American action to Israeli missile attacks on Iran, which were also preceded by months of preparation and many variants of plans.

US operation in Venezuela. Vladimir Putin envies Donald Trump?
“Reality never works like the most perfect plan. I think that's why Putin lost his special military operation, because of the lack of independent, creative action in the name of one undertaken mission,” says the general.
He adds that full understanding of the mission, great coordination and communication have been developed in the US Army for years and in this situation they resulted in the successful implementation of this mission. The general emphasizes that such actions are planned for months, and the Americans had to practice many variants of the plan.
In his opinion, the Russian army was not able to carry out a similar operation during the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. An example is the unsuccessful landing at the Hostomel airport near Kiev, which was supposed to enable a quick encirclement of the Ukrainian capital. However, the fighting for the airport ended in defeat for the Russians.

United States attack on Venezuela. Russia is watching and jealous?
“Russia is fighting with cannon fodder, and even though this Spetsnaz is advertised as an exception in this army, it is also unable to operate effectively and carry out its tasks,” Polko said.
He emphasizes that special forces are only one of the elements. Up-to-date intelligence information and support from operational and conventional troops are crucial.
Nicolas Maduro will be tried in the USA. Why did the US attack Venezuela?
The US has been gathering forces around Venezuela for months, talking about fighting “narco-terrorism” and migrant smuggling. The regime in Caracas claimed that Washington's goal was to take control of oil deposits.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi said on Saturday that Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife have been charged in the US with drug and terrorism-related crimes. They will be tried in New York.
“Maduro was charged with drug-terrorist conspiracy, conspiracy to import cocaine, possession of machine weapons and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine weapons and destructive devices against the United States,” Bondi wrote in a post on the X website.
