A 36-year-old man from the town of Blajel, Sibiu county, was killed on Christmas Eve, following a conflict with several individuals, who brutally beat him in the middle of the street. The aggressors were detained.

“On the night of 24/25/12/2025, a spontaneous conflict broke out between several people (at least twenty) on a street in the town of Blajel, Sibiu county. During this conflict, the victim, a 36-year-old person, was assaulted with various blunt objects in the head and body area by four perpetrators aged 14, 33, 27 and 18“said Dan Octavian Simion, the spokesperson of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sibiu Court, according to the publication Sibiu 100.

Unfortunately, after more than an hour of resuscitation, the man was declared dead.
“SAJ SIBIU intervened last night around 23:40, with two type B crews, in the town of Blajel to provide first aid to a person who was assaulted. Following a conflict between several people, a 36-year-old man was injured.
When the crews arrived, the man was in cardiorespiratory arrest and resuscitation maneuvers began. After a resuscitation that lasted 65 minutes, unfortunately, death was declared, the man not responding to the applied maneuvers”said Vasile Scridon, spokesperson of the Sibiu Ambulance.
Six other people are being prosecuted
In the case, it was ordered to continue the criminal investigation against the four perpetrators for committing the crime of murder and disturbing public order and peace, and against six other people for committing the crime of disturbing public order and peace.
