In Zelenogorsk, a local resident will appear in court on charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition at home. This was reported by the press service of the regional police.
During operational search activities during inspection of the apartment police found an unconvicted man more than 1 kg 200 grams of gunpowder in five metal cans and a plastic container, a sawed-off shotgun with a liner barrel, 55 ammunition for weapons converted from a permitted firearm into a prohibited firearm and 19 ammunition for it, as well as 208 ammunition for a rifled weapon.
“Employees of the investigative department and the inquiry department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the ZATO city of Zelenogorsk initiated criminal cases under Part 1 of Art. 222, part 1 art. 222.1, part 1 art. 223, as well as Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 223 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which were later combined into one proceeding. The materials of the criminal case with the indictment have been sent to the court for a decision,” the police said.
Also, the district police drew up an administrative protocol against the man for storing ammunition for hunting smooth-bore weapons without the necessary documents.
