Fire protection specialists from the Krasnoyarsk Territory told residents about the rules for using New Year's electric garlands. Firefighters reminded that if used incorrectly, the garland can cause short circuit and fire.

In order not to overshadow the New Year celebrations, Observe the following rules:

• use garlands only if they have the appropriate certificate;
• Before using the garland, check the electrical wiring, pay special attention to the insulation and connection of the wires;
• If you find faults with the electrical wiring, turn off the power to the garlands;
• do not leave the lights on when you leave home or go to bed.
